My name is Franck Le Moënner, born and bred in Brittany then matured in Ireland for the last twenty five years; I first trained as a wildlife guide and ornithologist, before becoming a cook when I landed on these shores, then a Cheesemonger, a wine merchant and a cheesemonger again…Hungry Breton is the candid story of an unlikely food enthusiast, sharing his stories, recipes and encounters through the Irish Terroir… The story of two similar cultures, yet different, sitting at the same table for a bite and a chat!

Funny how being an expat inspires many people like you and me to have a food blog! hehe
The chance of living at least two cultures? Ach sure, it has to be shared! 🙂 ( But yes indeed, very interesting)
Greetings! Thank you Franck, for visiting my blog, for me to find yours. I will definitely be following your stories. I have been to France several times, but never to Brittany. I learned of Brittany when I searched to learn about and make Breton cake. I visited Ireland with my husband 5 years ago, and have nothing but fond memories of Irish people. I have three plus cultures, and sure do have a story or two to share. 🙂 Fae.
Thank you so much Fae 😉 Yes, Brittany is quite different to the rest of France; the Celtic roots maybe?
Oh yes! I’ve found another fab blog to read and share! Allez Franck! X
